a thousand words

Sure. I mean, it took a minute. I'll admit it. But you know, there was a lot going on. A lot on my plate. I wasn't just sitting around eating deep fried mac & cheese like some dumb ass. I had stuff to do. Sure. It's called August. I totally did that shit. I thought that when it finally came time to blog it up, to explain it, i'd go on and on about like, the move, or when my family came to town, or the red party, or the motorcycle bbq, or the whole thing with Cingular wireless, and how it nearly came to murder, and then the whole Jon Benet thing, and Snakes on a Plane, and I mean, the whole ass end of summer. All that stuff. But it just isn't working out like that. I mean, it did work out like that, but it's not going to work out like that on a blog tonight. That's what i mean. What i mean is, this time, i'm going to let the pictures do the talking, and i tell you what, there's a pantload of them. But I will say this. The last photograph was taken tonight, right before leaving the studio. So i think technically that brings us up to date. I think we're even. We're fair and square. The rest is just gravy. I mean, i'll have more time another day to tune up the archives, find the photos i lost along the way, maybe in the move, or have parked in some other hard drive, i mean, whatever it is, the thing about photos is, i can just make more. Not a big deal. No big thing to me. it's as easy as pressing a button. And you know, no matter how tired i get, it doesn't matter. I can press on a button. That's not very hard when you think about it. It's this business of getting the right number of buttons pressed that equals pictures on the internet.

I'll also say i ordered me one of them new iPod shuffles. I couldn't resist it. And did you know you can get 'em engraved now? Well. I got mine engraved. I'm so excited to have it. I wonder if it will start a trend. the dTown edition. I don't see why it wouldn't. I mean, i usually have some pretty good ideas. I mean, sure, they may not be a trend today, but they will be. That's the whole point. Like for instance, if you go outside, and you see some guy wearing red. I did that already. I mean, sure. Lots of people did that already, but it doesn't make them trend setters. And who knows, maybe because i already wore red, maybe that doesn't automatically make me a trend setter. But i can be this. I tell you what. I can be a trend forecaster. That's something i can do. And besides. If i were to start setting trends, you know, people would have to worry if they were picking them up fast enough. that's something i don't want to be responsible for. I mean, i'm a busy man, but i've got my own responsibilities.

Like for instance, i didn't get all hung up on the whole September 12 thing. I mean, that was going to be a trend for me, and though it was something that i hold very personally painful in my heart, and stirs an overwhelming pit of rage from within, there's not really any reason to make a trend out of it. I guess i'm not saying i'm over it, because i ain't. Friends don't fuck their friends like that, i don't care who you are, or what kind of "business man" you think you want to be, but i guess i assume that september 12 fella believes in god. And god was watching. So, he'll get his. It's not up to me. I just try to not dwell on it as much as i did yesterday, and that should be a little less, and before you know it, it's not so bad at all. (well. that's not true. it's still about as bad as you can get, but hey, who's complaining?) I guess i don't find myself consumed by the overwhelming rage i felt a year ago. I guess you could call that progress. You could call that moving on. Getting over it. But i can't say i'm over it. I mean, here it is. A year and 2 days later, and still it is on my mind more than talking about september 11. More than the red party. No. somethings just stick with you. They become a part of you.

And I think that part of me is very tired, So i'm going to catch up on some sleep.

Meanwhile, you can catch up on what the hell has been going on these past few weeks.

thanks for coming back, and i'll see you next time.
